COVID-19 SCREENING & PROTOCOLS

  • Upon entering the office, patients and practitioners will have their temperature taken. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or above will not be allowed to stay (per CDC guidance).
     

  • All patients will be screened for the following symptoms prior to their appointment and no practitioner will come to work if they are experiencing the following symptoms: fever, shortness of breath, cough, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell, skin rash, unfamiliar leg pain.
     

  • All practitioners and patients will wait 1 week after air travel to return to the office.
     

  • All practitioners and patients will wait 2 weeks before returning to work if they have come in close contact with someone known or suspected to have COVID 19 while not wearing PPE.
     

  • Practitioners will wear surgical masks or KN95s at all times.
     

  • Patients will keep their mask or face covering on during the entire duration of their time in the office, including during treatment. 
     

  • Patients should not bring anyone else to their appointments, but if they are necessary for an aspect of patient care, they will be pre-screened in the same way as patients. 
     

  • Patients will be referred to their primary care MD or urgent care if they have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. 
     

  • Patients must notify their practitioner if they are suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19.

 

Social Distancing
 

  • All staff will maintain 6’ of distance from each other. 
     

  • Patients will not arrive more than 5 minutes before their appointment to avoid crowding in the waiting room and if they are in the waiting room, they will stay 6’ away from other patients and practitioners.

  • Telehealth will be utilized as much as possible.
     

Disinfection Procedures

  • Patients are asked to wash their hands upon arriving at the office. If for some reason they can’t, they will use hand sanitizer.
     

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided in the waiting room and each treatment room.
     

  • Frequently touched surfaces will be wiped down after each patient.
     

  • All clean laundry will be kept in a clean plastic bin. All dirty laundry will be kept in a sealed separate container. 
     

  • Patients will be spread out in order to allow for enough time to properly disinfect the treatment rooms between each patient.
